Ten people with Down syndrome graduated from journalism school
At Banjaluka College, the training for journalists was completed today for ten participants, people with Down syndrome, who will continue their practical training at RTRS, said Zoran Jelić, senior director of the Down syndrome center in Banjaluka.
Jelić stated that after the internship at RTRS, people with Down's syndrome will have their first interview with Dr. Vlado Đajić, the ambassador for people with Down's syndrome.
He stated that the education was conducted under the baton of Professor Nenad Novaković, and that the participants were awarded diplomas.
According to Jelić, the magazine "Djeca sunca" is being prepared and published under Đajić's patronage, in which people with Down syndrome will show their journalistic skills.
- I can rightly say that this is a historical event. The project "I also want to be a journalist" is one of the largest anti-stigma projects in this region that will improve the lives of people with Down syndrome, and it is a way for them to get involved in all social activities - said Jelić and emphasized that this model will also be applied in to all countries of the region.
