Ceremonial awarding of diplomas
The concert hall of Bansko dvor, the cultural center of Banja Luka, exuded joy on the rainy day of May 22, 2013. Graduated students of Banja Luka College, accompanied by their parents, friends and guests, eagerly awaited the presentation of their well-deserved diplomas.
The ceremony began with a parade of graduates dressed in traditional uniforms. Their entry was heralded by the sound of a fanfare. With dignity, as befits, the graduates took their places on the podium of the hall. Placing the flag of Banja Luka College in the designated place was a sign that the fourth-year solo singing student of the Banja Luka Academy of Arts, Albina Smailović, sang the student anthem Gaudeamus igitur . The chamber atmosphere mixed with feelings of happiness and joy overwhelmed everyone present.
In his short speech, Mr. Branimir Grulović, director of Banja Luka Collega, addressed the graduates with the following words:
"Today, I will not wish the graduates that all their wishes come true, because they will stop wishing. I will not wish them all their dreams come true, because they will stop dreaming. I will wish them to achieve only as much as is enough to be happy."
Prof. Dr. Željko Mirjanić, President of the Assembly of the Founders of Banja Luka College, before handing out the diplomas, addressed the audience with a short speech in which he emphasized the importance of this moment, not only for the graduates, but also for their parents. He wished the graduates much success in their lives and careers, stressing that he expects that the connection between the graduates and Banja Luka College will not be broken by the awarding of diplomas.
After the diplomas were presented on behalf of all the graduates to the professors and guests present, Srđana Ćebić spoke with inspired words: "Studying at BLC was a privilege. The professors were at our disposal 24 hours a day, and for that we thank them very much."
The graduation ceremony for the seventh generation of Banja Luka College students ended with a group photo and the traditional, symbolic, throwing of caps.
