Saturday, 25.05. it was again a sign of youth, because young people from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska gathered at Banja Luka College to present their knowledge in the field of accounting in one place. Although the mini Olympiad "Accounting 2013" is a knowledge competition, the day was in the spirit of sportsmanship - all the contestants tried to present their knowledge in the best possible way, and to be the winners of the first mini Olympiad, and their mentors cheered loudly. On the "field" there were also judges, members of the commission, who in the end had a very difficult task - to decide who was the winner. The commission decided that the winner of the mini-olympiad "Accounting 2013" will be the team of Jurja Dobrila University in Pula - Department of Economics and Tourism "Dr. Mijo Mirković", second place was deservedly won by members of the team representing the University of St. Cyril and Methodius - Faculty of Economics from Skopje, and third place was won by members of the team representing the Faculty of Organizational Sciences from Belgrade. Individuals in the individual competition were Nancy Veljanovski (first place) from Jurja Dobrila University in Pula - Department of Economics and Tourism "Dr. Mijo Mirković", Mite Atanasov (second place) from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius - Faculty of Economics from Skopje, and the third place was shared by six competitors, as they all won 45 points each.
The third place winners are:
- Branka Đajić – Banja Luka College
- Ognjen Ašković – University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade
- Mirza Kasum – University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Economics, Sarajevo
- Nikola Zornić - University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade
- Vladana Katanić – Slobomir P University, Faculty of Economics and Management and Slobomir Tax Academy, Bijeljina
- Sonja Gavrić – Slobomir P University, Faculty of Economics and Management and Slobomir Tax Academy, Bijeljina
The organizing committee, as well as the general sponsor, did not want to declare only one competitor as third place, and this is direct evidence that the Olympics would not have been so successful without a good organizer and sponsors who provided prizes, food and refreshments for the competitors. The organizer provided the three first-placed teams with an extended weekend in Vlašić, and for the first two places laptops, and for the third-placed ones, the executive director of Datalab Andrej Mertelj came to their aid and said that all students who have the same number of points for third place, they six, together with the two first place competitors, are rewarded with sailing on competition sailboats for 4 days in the period from 29.09.-05.10. In 2013, from Biograd to the Kornati Islands.
All of the above indicates that this day was more than successful, from socializing, publication of the accounting subject, promotion of the magazine "Aktuelnosti", appropriate awards, because this is the success of all gatherings. This event speaks of the quality of all students and the quality of the institution from which the competitors came.
These days, BLC promoted the student population, knowledge, institution, Banja Luka, its country and higher education in Republika Srpska in the right way.
