
Description of the course
The Management of occupational safety and environmental protection is unique, because it deals with psycho-social problems of mental health in the workplace, as well as the long-recognized chemical, physical, mechanical and biological hazards that can exist in the working and living environment. The concept of the basic academic studies of the course enables the acquisition of knowledge for the timely resolution of occupational safety and environmental protection problems and action towards their elimination. The curriculum is based on sound foundations in science and aims to provide students with high theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of occupational health and safety. Students who graduate from the Occupational Safety and Environmental Management course work to improve safety and health. of all workers. Protection at work is needed wherever there is a workplace, so the choice of future workplace can be diverse: in rural or urban areas; national or international; in all industries (such as: mining, agriculture, retail, hospitality, construction, transport, manufacturing, healthcare), in government, private sector or consulting companies.
After completing the three-year study, the student acquires the title of Graduate Manager of Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection - 180 ECTS points.
Upon completion of the Occupational Safety and Environmental Management course, students have the opportunity to continue their studies on a four-year course - and earn 240 ECTS credits.
